The computer mounted on the drill has no any possibility to connect standard external devices like keyboard or mouse to it. As well is not possible to connect USB Flash Drives. In such of conditions we have only one way to get some external access for maintenance, upgrades or any unforeseen circumstances. Computer is equipped with a WiFi network card what can be used in two basic modes:
•WiFi Ad Hoc network server - The computer forms its own network with the ability to connect to it from any device having the capability of WiFI connection without any other additional equipment.This method allows to get the connection in any situation where are no standard services to support wireless networks.
•WiFi Access Point client - this mode allows the Drill Computer to act as a wireless client. In this case, it will be connected to the existing wireless local area network. Through that will be possible to execute all necessary operations, to access the data and provide the maintenance .This connection can benefit you with Internet access and online updates.
To use the WiFi Ad Hoc Connection network, you'll need to know the network name (SSID) and password. You can view and change the Wi-Fi settings using the HDD15 Embedded Interface on the Drill Computer..
Network name: The Name of WiFi network created by Drill computer that devices can use to access the data or obtain the remote control of the computer. The Name of Self created Ad Hoc network have a following format McDrillxxxxx;
